The 1815 Glass/Casting Kiln is an innovative multi-media kiln designed for glass casting, fusing, slumping, and low-fire ceramics. With both top and side firing capabilities, this kiln provides versatile firing options for a wide range of artistic applications.
Its deeper chamber, compared to some of our other glass and casting kilns, accommodates a 15" shelf and fits pieces up to 10.5" square, offering ample space for your creations.
In Glass Fusing mode, the kiln delivers a uniform blast of top heat (up to 1,700°F), complemented by side coils for even heating. This ensures consistent results, making it perfect for fusing and slumping projects.
When switched to Glass Casting mode, the side-firing provides precise temperature control (up to 2,150°F) while preventing the lid coils from overheating. This allows for greater accuracy and control in the firing process, making it ideal for both glass casting and low-fire ceramics.
